Bolton Wanderers have added to their attacking arsenal this evening after the club confirmed on their official website, the signing of Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Walker re-emerged from the wilderness at the City Ground this season under former boss Mark Warburton, but new boss Aitor Karanka clearly feels that the 21-year-old's development would be better served out on loan with Forest's divisional rivals.

The son of former England international Des, Tyler has netted four goals during his 16 Forest appearances during the first half of the 2017/18 campaign and has shown that he is capable of offering something at Championship level.

This will be the fourth time that Walker has left the City Ground on loan following spells at Burton Albion, Stevenage and Port Vale previously during his short career to date.

Walker has joined Bolton until the end of the campaign and could make his debut this Friday against Bristol City.

The Verdict

Walker is a player who possesses a certain amount of potential and the move to Bolton, where he will play lots of Championship football, can only be a good thing for all parties.

The 21-year-old has done okay when he has featured for Forest in the first half of the campaign and he could be a shrewd piece of business by Phil Parkinson.
