Done Deal: Bolton complete deal for experienced striker

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed on their official website the arrival of Adam Le Fondre on loan from Championship outfit Cardiff City.

The 30-year-old spent time on loan at the Trotters in 2015 where he scored eight goals in 17 appearances during his spell there and returns to the Macron Stadium for their promotion chase back to the second-tier.

Le Fondre, currently contracted to the Bluebirds, spent the first half of the season at Wigan Athletic but was unable to impress after hitting the net just once in nine matches for the Latics.

The former Rotherham United forward made a name for himself at the Millers in 2011 having helped the Yorkshire team gain promotion to League One before switching to Reading, where he also helped them go up to the Premier League.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson may have acquired one of his priority targets for this month, but news suggests star midfielder Zach Clough could be departing the club to join Nottingham Forest.

Trotters supporters, how ecstatic are you about the arrival of Adam Le Fondre? Will he guide you to the Championship?
