Former Celtic midfielder John Herron has signed a two-year contract with Blackpool, HITC Sport have confirmed.
The 21-year-old, who has been with the Scottish giants since the age of seven, joins the club on a free transfer and will officially sign for the Tangerines on 1st July.
Herron made his senior debut for Celtic when he was just 18-years-old with his second appearance coming last season when he started a game against Motherwell.
More recently Herron got a taste for first-team football during a loan spell with Cowdenbeath where he played five times last season.
New Blackpool boss is currently rebuilding his squad in preparation for next season with the club keen to hold down some stability after a campaign of turmoil, which saw them finish bottom of the Championship last season.
He said: “I have been at Celtic since I was seven, but it’s a different situation here and I am here to win games. It is a new challenge and I want to progress.”
