Blackpool FC have confirmed on their official website that they have signed Curtis Tilt.

Curtis Tilt becomes Blackpool's first signing of the summer as Gary Bowyer looks to prepare his team for a season in the third tier.

Blackpool won promotion to League One via the League Two play-off final, defeating Exeter City 2-1 on the day, and are now looking to add some quality additions to their squad.

The Tangerines have swooped to tap up some non-league talent by signing highly rated defender Curtis Tilt.

The 25-year-old has finally earned his move to the Football League after plying his trade in non-league with the likes of Halesowen Town, Hednesford Town, AFC Telford United and Wrexham.

Tilt was most recently on loan at Forest Green Rovers from Wrexham, helping his side win promotion to League Two via the National League play-offs.

The centre half will provide a big presence for Blackpool at the back.

The 6'4'' defender is strong in the air and is left-footed, which makes him a handy acquisition to Blackpool's defensive ranks.

Blackpool have agreed a deal to sign Curtis Tilt on a permanent deal and he puts pen to paper on an initial two year contract with the Seasiders.

Tilt's contract at Bloomfield Road includes the provision to extend his deal by a further year at the end of his initial two year stint.
