Goalkeeper Jake Kean has joined Norwich City on a free transfer following his release from Blackburn Rovers, the club have confirmed.
Kean left Ewood Park on Thursday following a mutual agreement to terminate the remainder of his contract, and he has now joined the Premier League outfit Norwich City.
The goalkeeper found himself ousted from the first-team fold last season following the arrival of Jason Steele from Middlesbrough.
He finished the season out on loan at Oldham Athletic and now joins Premier League Norwich City to add competition for John Ruddy and Declan Rudd.
Kean played 47 times in total for Rovers and the Derby-born stopper is known for his agility and superb handling skills.
It remains to be seen just how much football the 24-year-old will see at Carrow Road but the move is a big one for the player nonetheless.
Norwich will be hoping to remain in the Premier League next season and the addition of Kean will help give current number one John Ruddy some competition, something that is always beneficial at a club.
