Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City have completed the loan signing of AFC Bournemouth left-back Rhoys Wiggins until January, according to the Blues’ official website.
The full-back completed a medical at the Midlands outfit earlier today, and has the option to extend his stay with the Championship club until the end of the season.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has allowed the 28-year-old to leave temporarily in order to gain first team football.
Wiggins signed for the Premier League side in January last year from Sheffield Wednesday, but has not figured in the first team for the Cherries.
The Welshman was named in Chris Coleman’s larger squad ahead of the Euro 2016 Championships in the summer, but failed to make the final 23-man squad.
The 28-year-old will link up with his new mates at St Andrews, and is likely to feature in their Championship clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage after the international break.
