Barnsley have confirmed on their official website that they have completed the signing of Callum Elder.
The Leicester City defender joins on loan until the end of the 2016/17 campaign after the Foxes cut his loan spell at Brentford short.
Callum Elder has never played a senior game for Leicester but this will be his fourth loan spell away from the club.
After temporary stints with Mansfield Town and Peterborough United, he joined Brentford in the summer but only made six appearances for the Bees in the first half of the season.
The Premier League champions cut the 22-year-old’s loan spell short as a result, and have sent him to Barnsley instead.
The former Australian under-20 international plays as a left back.
He joins fellow Leicester team mate Matty James, who joined Barnsley on loan earlier this month.
The Tykes are aiming to rebuild their squad after a number of key players left in January.
