Sky Bet Championship side Aston Villa have completed the capture of promising defender Jacob Bedeau from League One strugglers Bury, confirmed on their official website.
The 17-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year contract at Villa Park and arrives from Gigg Lane for an undisclosed fee.
Bedeau is the newest talent to come out of Bury having made seven appearances for the Shakers this season.
He made his debut for them in a 3-2 defeat to Millwall but his first start for the third-tier side came in a 4-2 loss against Bristol Rovers.
Aston Villa are likely to have a busy end to transfer deadline day as out-of-favour striker Ross McCormack may complete a deal to Nottingham Forest, but the biggest news will be the likely arrival of 24 year-old forward Scott Hogan as a replacement.
Jacob Bedeau will travel with Villa’s squad to Brentford for their Tuesday evening encounter.
