Sky Bet League Two side Colchester United have confirmed the arrival of young midfielder Glen Kamara on a loan deal which will last until January from Arsenal.
The 20-year-old, best known for his defensive attributes, spent the second part of last season on loan at League One side Southend United – where he made six appearances for Phil Brown’s team.
Kamara featured in Arsenal’s Champions League tie against Galatasaray, starting on the bench but failed to make an appearance.
He made his debut for the Premier League outfit in October of last season against Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup Fourth Round, which the second-tier club famously won 3-0.
Glen Kamara has several caps to his name at international youth level, playing just under ten games for the Finland Under-19 and Under-21 teams combined,
He becomes Colchester United’s second loan signing of transfer deadline day, with Tasique Fosu joining from Reading earlier.
