Doncaster boss Paul Dickov pleased by ‘fantastic’ display

Doncaster Rovers came from behind on Saturday afternoon to beat Rochdale 3-1 after Dale forward Matt Done was shown a red card.
Done had put Rochdale in the lead after eight minutes but Doncaster battled back after his sending off with an equaliser from Kyle Bennett and two late goals courtesy of Curtis Main and Theo Robinson.
It was a win deserved of a dogged performance from Paul Dickov’s men, who missed a number of chances to take the lead before Robinson’s 86th-minute goal.
The win lifted Doncaster to 16th in League One, whilst Rochdale slipped to 9th.
Doncaster boss Paul Dickov spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield after the game: “We got off to the worst possible start, conceding and then after that I thought the boys were fantastic.
“Even though it was eleven versus eleven, we played football, we created.
“We had as many chances as I could remember in a game and it would have been a crying shame if we hadn’t won the game.”
