Sheffield Wednesday defender Dominic Iorfa has praised new signing Chey Dunkley after he fit straight in with the squad. The centre-back joined from Wigan Athletic after they were relegated to League One, and he'll now be hoping he doesn't suffer the same fate at the Owls, despite Garry Monk's side starting on -12 points. Dunkley has been known for his ability in both boxes, and he'll be hoping he can get some clean sheets for the side, whilst also chipping in with a few goals for the Owls. Iorfa has praised the defender and expressed that he's good to have around because he's someone who is loud and fits in well with the dressing room. Speaking to The Star, Iorfa said: "He’s a good lad, a good defender as well, so he adds more competition for us defenders, and that’s something that’s good for us to have.
"We’re at the stage where we’re just getting back to fitness right now, but he’s a loud lad, a bubbly character, so he’s fitting in straight away with the dressing room."

The Verdict

Dunkley is a great signing for Wednesday and it's really good to see another team-mate speak so highly of a new player to the squad, and that will have pleased Dunkley to see that.

It'll be interesting to see how Wednesday cope with their point deduction but the spirit within the squad is very good at the minute, and this could help them get out of the mess they've found themselves in.

If they are to stay up then they'll need to keep this sort of spirit and attitude and that's something Monk will be keen on keeping within his dressing room.
