Blackburn Rovers have made a strong start to the new Championship season, with the Lancashire club being denied a play-off spot by goal difference.

Tony Mowbray's side went into the international break following a convincing 3-1 victory against Sheffield United.

Rovers travel to Bristol City tomorrow and will be hoping to get into the Championship's top six with a victory.

The Robins have only recently ended a nine-month-long winless run at Ashton Gate and will be striving to pick up yet another three points on home soil.

Here, we take look at how Blackburn could line up against Bristol City tomorrow afternoon...

Thomas Kaminski has firmly established himself as number one at Blackburn and he is more than likely to be selected when they visit Ashton Gate.

Ryan Nyambe is another player who seems like a certain starter when fit for Rovers, with his attacking drive and defensive abilities making him an excellent option in the full-back position.

Harry Pickering is available for selection when Rovers visit Bristol City, with the left-back edging the left-back spot from Tayo Edun.

Daniel Ayala is also back for tomorrow's visitors and is likely to join captain Darragh Lenihan at centre-back, with the pair forming an excellent partnership when deployed together this season.

Lewis Travis has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, with his technical ability and work rate justifying another inclusion in Mowbray's starting XI.

John Buckley is of a similar mould to Travis, with the 22-year-old possessing the competence on the ball to unlock defences at Championship level, whilst having the intelligence and desire to succeed in the middle of the park.

Joe Rothwell could be deployed as the third central midfield player tomorrow afternoon. The 26-year-old poses a real threat with his driving runs and line up play with his forwards.

Tyrhys Dolan could be brought back into the side, with the young winger causing all sorts of problems early on in this campaign.

Ian Poveda could be handed with another start, with the Leeds United loanee offering the same sort of service as Dolan.

Ben Brereton Diaz has been in fine form in front of goal this season, with the Chilean international being one of the most in-form players in the entire division.
