A brace from Ilias Chair earned QPR all three points over Birmingham City at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium last night.

After a bright start from the visitors, The R's took control of the game, with Chair opening the scoring with a deflected effort in the 35th minute.

20 minutes into the second half, and Chair doubled his side's advantage after he had latched onto a through ball, before expertly slotting past Matija Sarkic in the Blues net.

Victory for The R's has taken them back to within a point of the Championship play-offs, following three straight 2-1 defeats.

Mark Warburton's side were unbeaten in their first six second-tier matches this campaign and will be hoping to break into the much-desired top-six as the season progresses.

Chair might have made the headlines with his two goals, but Charlie Austin returned to the starting line up, putting in a very strong performance.
