Nottingham Forest fell to their sixth defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon, with the Reds losing 2-0 to Barnsley at Oakwell.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Forest, who were left frustrated by Barnsley goalkeeper Jack Walton particularly in the first-half.
Miguel Angel Guerrero wasted two glorious chances for the Reds after being played through on goal, with both attempts being denied by Walton.
In the second-half, a glancing header by Lyle Taylor was also kept out by Walton, who pulled off a fine save to deny the Forest striker.
In the end, a rocket from Callum Styles and a close-range effort from Cauley Woodrow secured a late win for the hosts.
An injury to Samba Sow saw Ryan Yates reclaim his place in the side alongside Jack Colback, with the pair’s performances dividing opinions amongst fans.
The pair didn’t put a foot wrong in truth, but a lack of attack-minded passes and forward-thinking let them down at times.
With Harry Arter sitting on the bench, fans have been discussing the midfield partnership of Colback and Yates…
Yates was very good again today. But needs arter along side him for me

I agree with you.. just to say first tweet I’ve read that doesn’t question their ability or any other players commitment, fitness, desire. Just an opinion without venom.

Colback slows the game down too much. Personally think the wingers were poor 2nd half. Lolley is a shadow of the player he was.
Why only one sub? So disappointed with Freeman. Looks a stone heavy and barring one turn cant trap a ball.

Think it should be colback and Arter or colback and sow….. But personally wouldn't be surprised if sow left in January

Yeats having a good game
I have never seen what Colback brings to this team…. Limited player

Yates is a promising player, Great to close down the opposition, determination second to none, however he needs to get his head up and play the ball quicker, defensively he reads the game but not offensively.

Yeah Arter plays through the lines a bit better and quicker.

They haven’t really done anything wrong of note. Just think they’re far too static as a pairing at times.
