‘Doesn’t sound too good’, ‘He’s off’ – These Bristol City fans discuss Nigel Pearson’s surprising player comments after Celtic draw

Bristol City drew 0-0 with Celtic last night as they continued their preparations ahead of the season starting in just over three weeks time.

Unsurprisingly, boss Nigel Pearson picked a very strong XI from the off against the Glasgow giants, although there was one surprising omission, as Dan Bentley was not involved, with Max O’Leary playing most of the game in goal.

Some initially thought the stopper had picked up a slight knock but Pearson provided an update after the game, telling Bristol Live that there was nothing wrong with Bentley and it was purely a selection decision.

Did each of these 20 midfielders ever score a goal for Bristol City?
