‘Doesn’t even show any emotion’ – Plenty of Portsmouth fans take aim at one man after Sunderland defeat

Portsmouth endured another disappointing night on Tuesday, as they were beaten 2-0 by promotion rivals Sunderland 2-0 at Fratton Park.
Goals in either half from Charlie Wyke and Rangers loanee Jordan Jones were enough to seal all three points for the Black Cats, who have now won six of their last seven league games as they close in on the League One automatic promotion places.
By contrast, Portsmouth have won just one of their last seven, with this their third defeat in a row following defeat to Doncaster and a 4-1 thrashing by struggling Northampton at the weekend.
How well do you remember Portsmouth's season so far?
As a result, Pompey now sit ten points adrift of the automatic promotion places, and while they continue to occupy the final play-off spot, they are just one point better off than seventh place Ipswich, who do have a game in hand.
Perhaps not surprisingly therefore, plenty of Portsmouth fans were for from happy with recent results and performances under manager Kenny Jackett, with many calling for the 59-year-old’s departure as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the Pompey boss following that latest defeat.

Right. I’ll make this simple. Where is our club statement?

That has got to be Jackett gone. Won’t even make play offs at this rate.

Embarrassing. Our manager doesn’t even show any emotion, we didn’t even go down fighting.
