Coventry City will feel they have no place in League Two, but as things stand they're struggling to impose any consistent form on the play-off race. They're three points behind seventh-placed Swindon, albeit with a game in hand and a better goal difference.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, they face a visit from Lincoln City who lay one place below the Sky Blues and one point behind. It's a crunch game for both sides, one which will define their season going forward. Mark Robins will be hoping his side can produce another scintillating performance as they did at Sincil Bank earlier in the season, when now-departed Ducken Nazons and currently injured Jodi Jones ran the show.

Aside from Marc McNulty, the current Coventry squad doesn't appear to have goals or assists in it. The second leading scorer currently available for selection is Michael Doyle with three goals, the player with the highest assist Maxime Biamou with three. Neither carry the sort of impact that will be needed to keep Coventry in the hunt for an immediate return to League One.

The secret weapon might be an outcast coming in from the cold. Kyel Reid spent the first half of the season on loan at fellow League Two side Colchester, seemingly cast aside by Mark Robins. Reid, a former West Ham youngster, had spells with Bradford, Preston and Charlton before finding his way to Coventry, but was loaned out in the summer. After a successful spell in Essex it was widely believed he would be leaving the Midlands, but that came to nothing.

Reid didn't endear himself to Coventry fans after claiming he had a get out clause when they suffered relegation, a dismissal in his final game for Colchester also tarnished his return to the side. However, football is a fickle game and if the player can provide some ammunition for McNulty to use then surely there has to be a route back for him.

Reid grabbed three goals in his Colchester spell which would make him joint second highest scorer had they come at the Ricoh Arena. Crucially, the winger also helped himself to five assists, one more than Jodi Jones prior to his injury and two more than Biamou. Has Kyel Reid come in from the cold and can he make an impact in the coming months? Only time will tell, but he certainly has the pedigree and ability, if the club and player can settle any differences they have.
