There must be a real air of concern about Elland Road and Leeds United at the moment, with them in a real dire run of form at the moment.

For sure, the Whites' superb run of form at the beginning of the campaign looks a bit of a distant memory with their water-tight defence now leaking and their scintillating attack now firing blanks.

Thomas Christiansen, then, will be desperate to find a way of turning things around before too long and before the pressure really starts to mount and we think he'll be wishing he'd got Kyle Bartley in during the summer.

A Garry Monk favourite, the Swansea defender was a real asset last season on loan at Leeds with him snarling in the challenge and leading by example at every possible point.

Rated at £3.15m by transfermarkt, many wanted to see him stay in Yorkshire but Swansea decided to keep him for this campaign, with him getting a knee injury very early on.

Even so, he is on the road to recovery and should be back sooner rather than later, making you wonder if it's time for Christiansen to get after him seriously in the next transfer window.

For sure, Leeds have lost a great deal of their aggression in defence with one of their main drawbacks this season being a serious lack of grit and signing Bartley would help combat that.

It might be a tough ask with Swansea looking to use him, but Christiansen needs to try and use any regret he have and channel it into efforts towards getting him at last.
