Football is a great sport, nobody is likely to argue with that.

But is has become more than just a sport over the last few decades. Players are now judged for what they wear, what they drive and how they look as well.

Haircuts are a central part of the footballing fabric, and Luton have had some shockers over the years.

Here is a look at just FIVE of them. See how many you remember...

You may have scored against Watford (as pictured above) but it will take more than that to forgive those blonde highlights, I'm afraid Ahmet.

There is something quite scary about this picture of spring.

Jet black and spiked, his hair has a whiff of Bond villain about it.

Currie loved editing his hair throughout his time as a footballer and this was probably the pinacle of his Luton days.

So much gel you could probably pierce an apple on it.

Langley makes the cut thanks to this hair/beard combo.

The hair, in isolation, is not awful but coupled with the pencil thin goatee, this is not a sight that any football fans wants to see on the pitch.

Heikkinen may have been a fan favourite during his time at Kenilworth Road but that should not excuse his flimsy mop of a haircut.

It made for some excellent action shots, however, you have to give him that.
