Stoke City supporters have been discussing the position of manager Nathan Jones ahead of what is shaping up to be a crucial match for the former Luton Town boss against Nottingham Forest at the Bet 365 Stadium on Friday.

The Potters head into the contest in dire form having failed to win any of their opening eight Championship fixtures, and Stoke also suffered a defeat at League 2 Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup in midweek, losing on penalties after a 1-1 draw, but Jones' side did at least earn only their second point of the season in a goalless draw at Brentford last weekend.

Friday's game against Nottingham Forest could be the last opportunity that Jones gets to turn things around at Stoke and finally get his spell in charge at the Bet365 Stadium heading in the right direction, but victory against Forest will be a very difficult task considering Sabri Lamouchi's side are unbeaten in seven league games since they lost 2-1 at home to West Brom on the opening day of the season.

It is starting to feel like anything other than a win will not be good enough, given that Stoke are now winless in 14 Championship matches stretching back to the end of last season, and many supporters are beginning to feel a change in manager is the only way the Potters can give themselves a chance of finding some form.

Here, we take a look at what Stoke supporters are saying on social media about Jones' situation in the build up to their clash against Nottingham Forest...
