It hasn’t been the best of starts to life at Stoke City for Nathan Jones, having lost his second game in four days in two different competition’s.

After the weekend’s defeat away at Brentford, Stoke hosted League One Shrewsbury in an FA Cup third-round replay after a 1-1 draw in the previous tie.

It all started so well for Jones and his Potters side who were two goals up inside the first 36 minutes with youngster Tyrese Campbell notching a brace to give the hosts a commanding lead.

As time ticked on and the Shrews offering little, Stoke entered the final 20 minutes looking like they were on course to set up a fourth-round tie at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

But that would not be the case, goals from James Bolton, a Fejiri Okenabirhie penalty and a strike from Josh Laurent saw the League One side blow their opponents away with three goals in ten minutes.

They would be Shrewsbury’s only shots on target as they held on to record a famous win at the Bet 365 Stadium.

The defeat compounded Jones’ first week in charge of the Championship side, and there was plenty of reaction from the club’s supporters in the wake of the collapse.

With that said, here’s what the Stoke supporters had to say on Twitter after their side crashed out of the FA Cup at the hands of lower-league opposition.
