Norwich City are hoping to sign Bolton Wanderers midfielder Dennis Politic on a free transfer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Canaries are reportedly looking to exploit Bolton's financial troubles by landing the 19-year-old at little cost following his impressive performances on loan at Salford City last term.

The Romanian has looked set to stake his claim for a starting place at Wanderers next season given the club's threadbare squad, but he now could be set to link up with Daniel Farke's Premier League newcomers.

Bolton entered administration back in May after a season of difficulty, but the club's takeover is still yet to be completed which means none of the player's futures are guaranteed.
