Arsenal beat Portsmouth 2-0 in their Fifth Round FA Cup tie last night and many fans of the North London were left furious at the actions of parts of the Fratton Park faithful.

Mikel Arteta named a young side for the trip to the South Coast, while Kenny Jackett also made a number of changes, hinting that promotion from League One remains his top priority.

Both sides had their chances in a relatively even first half but the Gunners took the lead in stoppage time through Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Eddie Nketiah doubled their lead six minutes after the break, bundling in a Reiss Nelson cross from close range, and from that point the result did not look in doubt.

The result means Arsenal are the first side to qualify for the next round of the FA Cup but it was not all good news for Arteta's men as they lost Lucas Torreira due to injury.

The midfielder was stretchered off after a heavy challenge in the first half and received a nasty reception from the home support, who booed and mocked him.
