QPR have had a number of players over the years that simply haven’t cut it with the club for one reason or another.
One player that fits that description perfectly is defender Christopher Samba, who signed for the Hoops whilst they were playing their football in the Premier League back in January 2013.
The central defender arrived with a hefty price tag to his name, with a reported £12.5million fee being forked out by the Hoops to land his signature.

But his time with QPR was one to forget as injuries kept him out of the side for much of the campaign, before the club were eventually relegated back into the Championship.
Therefore it didn’t come as a surprise to see Samba leave the club in July 2013, as he rejoined Russian club Anzhi for a fee of £12million.
Plenty of QPR supporters took to Twitter to issue their thoughts on Samba’s time with the club, and it’s safe to say they didn’t hold back.
Take a look at the best of the reaction below….
Felt he was mugged off to be fair. I read somewhere that even he had said “I’m not fit and not ready to play” and he was straight in the team. That we broke even in the end is more astonishing.

Nothing ventured nothing gained or lost. Bought him for £12.5M sold him for £12M. Played 10 games that cost us £50K a game.

Always seemed to play his best football upfront at 3-0 down and in the 80th minute
