It was a massively important win for Aston Villa at the weekend, as the Villans ran out 2-1 victors over a struggling Ipswich Town side.

Dean Smith’s men were looking to get back to winning ways after a dismal run of form of late – they had won just one of their last eight games in the league before the weekend, and had slipped down to 13th position in the table.

But the Villans, who were looking to inflict further misery on an Ipswich side sitting rock bottom of the Championship, got off to the perfect start, as Tammy Abraham fired in his 18th goal of the campaign.

The Chelsea loanee then took his tally up to 19 goals for the season just after the hour mark, doubling Villa’s lead. And although Ipswich did make Villa Park nervous for the latter stages of the contest with a Freddie Sears consolation, Villa held on.

An important three points for Dean Smith’s men, but it was still a shaky performance. There were still some shaky performances in defence, especially from left-back Neil Taylor, who was far from impressive at the weekend.

Here, we take a look at Villa fans’ reactions to the Welsh international’s performance…
