QPR’s poor run of form continued in the Championship on Wednesday evening, as they fell to a frustrating 2-0 defeat against Preston North End. 

Alex Neill’s side took the lead on the night from the penalty spot, as Daniel Johnson opened the scoring with his first league goal of this year’s campaign.

That lead was then doubled on the hour mark, when Scott Sinclair fired home Preston’s second penalty of the match to give the visitors some much-needed breathing space.

Mark Warburton’s side were unable to find the goal they were chasing to get back into the game, despite the introductions of the likes fo Albert Adomah and Chris Willock.

The defeat means that the Hoops are now winless in their last five matches, which has seen them drop to 16th in the second-tier standings.
