The saga over Coventry City’s stadium for next season has been resolved – and now how Sky Blues fans would have liked it to go.
The League One outfit had a pretty decent season back in the third tier last year and they will be looking to try and build on that in 2019/20.
However, they are not going to be able to in front of their own fans and own ground next year with them confirming earlier today that they will ground-share with Birmingham City.
And, whilst you have to commend the Blues for helping their Midlands neighbours out to prevent any expulsion from the EFL, the fact it has got to this stage is nothing sort of farcical.
Once again, one of the great clubs of the English club is being uprooted and, rightly, fans are seething on social media at the news.
Let’s take a look at just a small portion of what has been said about it all:
STATEMENT: Coventry City Football Club confirm groundshare at St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium for 2019/20 season.
