Birmingham City have announced that David Stockdale, Cheick Keita and Jefferson Montero will all be leaving the club at the end of next month, which has drawn an interesting reaction from many Blues fans.

The EFL season has now been delayed for more than two months and looks likely to run deep into the summer should it be resumed.

Even so, it appears the Blues have been busy preparing for the exits of a number of players who it appears are deemed excess to requirements.

It was announced today that Stockdale and Keita would be leaving the club when their current contracts expire at the end of June,

The Blues have also revealed they will not be extending Montero's loan deal, which is set to expire on the 30th of June.

Stockdale has made just 40 appearances since joining from Brighton in 2017, with the goalkeeper having spent the majority of the last few seasons out on loan.

Keita arrived in January 2017 but the 24-year-old left-back has not featured for the senior side since his first two seasons at the club – making 11 appearances in total.

Montero was brought in on a season-long loan deal from Swansea in August but has struggled to make much of an impact in the final third, adding just one assist and no goals in his 18 appearances.
