‘Disappointed’, ‘Horrendous’ – Plenty of Portsmouth fans issue verdict on midweek defeat

Portsmouth’s nine-game winning streak ended on Tuesday night, as they fell to defeat against promotion rivals Coventry City.
It was a fairly even game for the majority of the evening, but Matty Godden’s goal just six minutes before the final whistle separated the two sides and ended Pompey’s emphatic winning run.
Portsmouth sit in sixth place after the defeat and are just one point ahead of seventh-placed Ipswich Town. Kenny Jackett’s side also sit five points behind second-placed Peterborough and have three games in hand on their opposition.
It’s set to be an enthralling final few months of the League One campaign with just 11 points separating Rotherham United in first place from Oxford United in 10th.
Portsmouth will be aiming to get back to winning ways this Saturday when they host an out-of-form Shrewsbury Town side. Jackett and his squad are still unbeaten in the division at Fratton Park, so there is reason for optimism ahead of the game.

Ran out of steam, and nobody on the pitch fancied putting in a full shift tonight apart from Naylor. Raggett had a mad 5 mins when he played them on for the goal.

It was gonna happen sometime, but still unbeaten at home!

Jacketts had a mare. Marquis was never going to work against five at the back. Harrison should of started with Hawkins on the bench 🤦‍♂️hopefully just a blip and we carry on well on Saturday up the blues
