Plenty of Coventry City fans have reacted to Jordan Shipley's message on Twitter following their club's 1-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers.

Having been swept aside by Rotherham United last weekend, the Sky Blues would have been aiming to bounce back against Micky Mellon's side yesterday.

However, despite dominating vast sways of possession at St Andrew's, Coventry ultimately failed to break Tranmere down.

After Jordy Hiwula blazed over in the first-half for the Sky Blues, Matty Godden and Jordan Shipley both went close during the second period.

With the game seemingly heading towards a draw, Tranmere opened the scoring in dramatic style as Corey Blackett-Taylor fired a superb effort past goalkeeper Marko Marosi.

Although Coventry pushed for an equaliser, Rovers held on to secure their first away victory of the season.

As a result of this defeat, the Sky Blues missed the opportunity to move up to third in the League One standings.

Following the clash, Shipley tweeted: "We will fight until the last whistle.

"We win together, we draw together and we lose together.

"We are a team and we will bounce back

"Stick with us."

Upon seeing the 22-year-old's post, plenty of Coventry fans reacted in a positive manner on Twitter.
