Bournemouth continued the unbeaten start to the Championship season on Saturday afternoon, as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Derby County at The Vitality Stadium.
Things started badly for the Cherries, with Graeme Shinnie putting the Rams ahead in the game just before the quarter-hour mark.
That was how it stayed until late on, when substitute Rodrigo Riquelme came to Bournemouth’s rescue, as he fired home from Diego Rico’s cross to secure a point for Jason Tindall’s side, which keeps them third in the Championship table.
Riquelme’s goal was his first since making a season-long loan move to Bournemouth from Atletico Madrid, and taking to Twitter to react to that breakthrough, plenty of Cherries fans were perhaps not surprisingly, keen to pay tribute to the midfielder for his latest contribution to the club’s cause.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the 20-year-old.
By the way, I thought Riquelme was left footed. I’m sure that sublime finish was with his right….

STEVE COOK!! An absolute warrior… our best player today by far! What a great goal from Riquelme as well #afcb 🍒🔥

Consistently starting too slow and need to address that sooner rather than later. That Riquelme goal though, hello 😍 #afcb

That team that finished must start on Tues. No more pissing about with Billing and Stanislas and 3 CB's particularly at home. Riquelme and Brooks different class. Danjuma comes alive with quality alongside him. #afcb

Really frustrating game in the end and poor for most of it, but played some really nice stuff at the end there and deserved the point. Riquelme goal class. He deserves a start on Tues. Heroic block from Steve Cook on the line. Great to stay unbeaten. Up the Cherries #afcb 🍒
