‘Didn’t see that one coming’ – Plenty of Leeds United fans are surprised as player departure is confirmed

Leeds United have announced that young forward, Sam Dalby has left the club to join Premier League side, Watford for an undisclosed fee.

The young forward joined the club from Leyton Orient back in January 2018, but failed to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team in a competitive during his brief spell with the Whites.

He did score in a pre-season friendly against York in the summer of 2018, but was sent out on loan Morecambe briefly in last year’s campaign.

Dalby has been a regular for the Whites under 23’s side, and his impressive performances evidently haven’t gone unnoticed, with Watford signing him before the new season gets underway.

The Elland Road faithful will be hoping that their side can win a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League next term, as they look to go one better than last season.

But how did Leeds fans react to Dalby’s departure?
