‘Didn’t really get a chance here’ – 8 things Leeds fans had to say after transfer confirmed

Leeds United announced that forward Marcus Antonsson had left the club last night, with the Swedish striker joining Malmo on a permanent deal.

The 27-year old joined the Whites back in 2016 but didn’t really make a positive impression at Elland Road, but he struggled to get a run of games.
All in all though, he made just 21 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals for the Yorkshire side in his first year.
Last season he was sent to Blackburn in League One and played a part as Rovers won promotion back to the Championship under Tony Mowbray although once again he wasn’t a regular.
Therefore, despite Marcelo Bielsa taking over as manager, Leeds have decided to move the player on.
Whilst Antonsson didn’t hugely impress in his time at the club, some fans felt that he didn’t really get a fair chance.
Here’s how they reacted to the news of his departure on twitter…
Goodbye @AntonssonMarcus Thankyou for wearing our shirt, Goodluck at Malmo ????⚽???????? #MOT xx

Malmo would whoop us, so how are we selling players to them that we think aren’t good enough?
