Wolves were denied a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals after losing to Manchester City on penalties at the Etihad Stadium last night.

It was still a major achievement for the Championship side to get to that stage, having drew 0-0 with the best team in the country over 120 minutes.

A key reason for that result was goalkeeper Will Norris, who tweeted the above message following the game.

The former Cambridge stopper joined the Black Country club in the summer, as deputy to John Ruddy.

However, he has been given his chance in the cup games this season and produced some outstanding displays, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion, meaning he has yet to be beaten as a Wolves keeper.

Unfortunately though, it was his opposite number, Claudio Bravo, who would be the hero in the shootout, with Norris unable to stop any of the sublime penalties from the hosts.

Despite the cruel ending, Wolves fans were proud of the team's performance and took to twitter to respond to their keeper's message.
