Leeds United surrendered top spot in the Championship, following a comprehensive defeat to Norwich City at Elland Road at the weekend, a result that left the Whites level on points with the Canaries but in second place on goal difference.
A late consolation goal by striker Patrick Bamford did little to lift the Leeds spirits, having been outplayed for long periods by Daniel Farke’s side.
So what did Bielsa get wrong for Leeds in their loss against Norwich?
“I don’t think it’s even a case of what Bielsa did wrong, I just think Norwich were too good for Leeds.
“They were phenomenal in and out of possession, and gave Leeds a taste of their own medicine in a sense with their high press passing.
“I think they will go up as champions.”
“The absence of Kalvin Phillips is the main reason as to why they were defeated.
“He offers the cover needed to a sometimes ‘frail looking’ Leeds defence and is a better defensive option to have instead of Adam Forshaw.
“Phillips has to come back in for Leeds in their next league game.”
“Did he do his research on the Champions-elect?
“I’m not sure he did. They were superb.
“The problems at Leeds aren’t simply for one game, it’s exactly what the pundits have been predicting.
“Too few signings, too many injuries.”
