The shock of the Championship weekend, much to the unhappiness of Sheffield Wednesday fans, undoubtedly came as Bolton beat the Owls 2-1.

The Trotters hadn't won a game all season coming into that one, whilst Wednesday were coming into it on the back of a fine win over Leeds and it seemed as though there was only going to be one winner.

Instead, though, Wednesday were pretty toothless against the men from the Macron Stadium and fans will surely be wondering about how their game with Derby County is going to go.

Indeed, rather suitably, the Rams have one of the Owls' strikers at the moment - Sam Winnall - and though he cannot play against his parent club, you have to wonder whether or not the striker should have stayed put.

This season, Gary Hooper has been the only really reliable source of goals for Wednesday and, though he is one of the highest scorers in the league, having just him is not enough.

The likes of Steven Fletcher and Jordan Rhodes just have not done it at the moment and a fourth striker would have been ideal - particularly at the level of quality that Winnall is at.

Of course, Wednesday have the likes of Lucas Joao, too, but Winnall is arguably a better forward than him and, at this point for the Owls, Carvalhal must be thinking that he's dropped a bit of a clanger.

It remains to be seen, then, how the Owls get on in the coming weeks after their Bolton loss.
