Swansea City boss Russell Martin has made it clear that he wants to bring Cyrus Christie and Hannes Wolf back to the club next season after their positive loan spells.

The duo joined in the January transfer window, with Christie excelling at wing-back for the Swans.

Meanwhile, Wolf, who arrived from Borussia Monchengladbach, has featured in a few different positions, but his quality has been clear, with the Austrian a key part of Martin's plans.

Therefore, the BBC have revealed that the Swansea chief wants to bring the duo in, although Martin admitted that there are plenty of hurdles to overcome to secure a deal for Wolf.

"Hannes is loving it here and he has done great for us in two roles. It's definitely something we are going to explore and we'll ask. But there's so much involved - his parent club, the finance, how much they paid for him. We'll have to wait and see."

The Swans are looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven league games when they travel to take on Reading on Easter Monday.

The verdict

This is no real surprise as Swansea have found their form in the past month, with Martin's men playing the football he wants and picking up results.

Both Christie and Wolf have had a big role to play in that, impressing with their quality and they way they've adapted the system.

So, keeping them is a no-brainer, and you would expect a deal for Christie is relatively straightforward. Whether they can do one for Wolf remains to be seen, but the fact he is enjoying himself is a positive and it's one to monitor in the summer.
