Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Ryan Sessegnon, and Fulham fans are saddened by what they see as the departure of a ‘club legend’.

It is a move which has been a long time coming, with several reports linking the 19-year-old with a move across London throughout the summer.

BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein reports that Spurs will pay Fulham £25m up front, with another £5m to possibly be paid depending on whether Sessegnon meets the add-ons involved.

The deal's completion will be a welcome relief to the player, who announced his desire to leave earlier this summer, suggesting he wouldn't renew his deal which was due to expire next summer.

The arrival of Josh Onomah has also softened the blow of losing Sessegnon for some Fulham fans, and the fact Scott Parker had prepared for this eventuality means it might not be as big a setback as it threatened to be.

Here are some of the reactions from disheartened Fulham fans on Twitter to Sessegnon finally departing Craven Cottage.
