After securing promotion to the Premier League, every single Sheffield United fan out there will be urging the club to sign Dean Henderson on a permanent deal in the summer.

The 22-year-old has been an ever-present for the Blades since his loan switch from Manchester United, and will go back to Old Trafford a much better player after a massively impressive season for Chris Wilder's men.

Henderson will go down in Sheffield United folklore, playing an integral role in helping them make a long-awaited return to the top-flight, as well as establishing himself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in the country.

As he prepares to return to Old Trafford in the summer, Manchester United's Twitter account recently moved to congratulate Henderson for the season he has endured, with plenty of Red Devils fans urging Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to utilise him next season.

But, despite Red Devils fans wanting the club to play him next season, Henderson has previously insisted that he wants to stay at Bramall Lane next term, and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon.

For every young footballer, playing for your country is the main goal, and this will be no different for Henderson who will be dreaming of playing for England one day.

But Henderson's chances of being called up to the Three Lions would be limited if he stayed at Old Trafford as he is very unlikely to challenge David De Gea for the number one jersey anytime soon.

The 22-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for United, and he will find it difficult to get in even ahead of back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

He is absolutely loved at Bramall Lane, and he will surely know that his future is in safe hands if he stays with Chris Wilder and continues to improve as a goalkeeper.
