After such an impressive season for Norwich City so far, Ben Godfrey is surely destined for big things in the future.

The 21-year old played an integral role in helping Shrewsbury Town to the League One play-off final last term, and has since become a regular for Daniel Farke's Premier League-chasing Norwich side.

The youngster had to bide his time at the beginning of the season to make an impact on the first-time, but injuries to defenders saw him become a regular in a somewhat unnatural position of centre-half.

But the 21-year old has become a standout performer for the Canaries this term, doing enough to attract the interest of one of the biggest teams in the country, if not the world.

Reports from The Sun claim that Manchester United are keen admirers of Godfrey - scouts from Old Trafford were present to the see the 21-year old net Norwich's winner over Rotherham United last week, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer searches for a new, young centre-half who is comfortable playing out from the back.

Normally, a move to a club of this calibre would be a dream for a young player like Godfrey - but in this case, he'll surely want to stay at Carrow Road?

Under Daniel Farke, several players are playing their best football, and are flourishing in the German's, fast-paced, attacking, intense style of football, Godfrey especially.

The 21-year old has come on leaps and bounds under the German, and is arguably the main reason as to why United are being linked with him at present.

He will know that under the Canaries coach, he will keep on improving and ultimately become a much better player than he is now.

There is no guarantee that he will be a regular for the Red Devils, and if the opportunity arises, Godfrey must surely want to stay at Norwich before making that next big step in the years to come.
