Nottingham Forest's newest recruit could be one of the signings of the summer, as Samba Sow begins to show his presence in the Championship.

Sow signed from Dynamo Moscow, and despite not being in Lamouchi's first XI until recently, he has proved pivotal in the games that he has played.

The experienced 30-year-old is still full of energy when he steps onto the pitch and was a key figure in both victories over Birmingham and Fulham. Both games were two really good wins for Lamouchi that has given Reds supporters optimism that the season ahead can be a successful one.

The midfielder likes to play as a pivot in front of the back four and does it brilliantly at times, especially in this new look Forest side. The team, without knowing, have been crying out for someone to do this job successfully after a couple of poor seasons.

His passing stands out in his dynamic game, Sow has a passing accuracy of 86.7% in the Championship so far and in an impressive cameo away at a strong Leeds United side, he achieved an accuracy into the 90's at an excellent 92%.

In this division, it's so important that any side looking to compete near the top has a distinct playing style, and with players coming into Forest such as Sow, they are really starting to see Lamouchi put his own verve on the side.

He's proven in the short amount of game time that he's had that he can also do the dirty work as well. He has made 21 interceptions so far this season, which averages out to about one every 12 and a half minutes, a fantastic statistic that backs up the work that he does to break up the play in the midfield.

The Mali international has also won 73.5% of his defensive duels which shows that he's not lenient in the challenge, proven by the two yellow cards he's already picked up this season.

If Forest are to have a good season, Lamouchi must keep including Sow who could be one of the signings of the summer if used properly.

The rotation is working well at the minute, but there's probably been too many draws for the manager's liking at the moment and if he can find his favoured side then Forest could have a great chance of a potential play-off finish this season.

Sow has to be in that side. Yes, there's been a lot of new signings at the City Ground, but Lamouchi must have faith in them, just like the fans do.
