Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has revealed the regularity with which he has watched back his wondergoal against Huddersfield Town, which has been well received by many Whites fans.
It has been another impressive campaign for the Leeds defender, who has been an integral player for Marcelo Bielsa’s side since returning from injury in October.
Ayling has featured in multiple positions for Leeds this term but he is most comfortable at right-back, a role that allows him to bomb forward down the right flank.
These 15 players have played for both Leeds United and Everton – True or false? Have a go now!
The 28-year-old has been fantastic in the final third this season and with four goals and four assists has already matched his previous record for goal contributions in a single term.
None, however, have been more impressive that his screamer against Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield.
Ayling connected with a floated cross to crash a flying volley into the back Terriers’ net in the third minute at Elland Road.
It appears he is pretty happy with the goal and, speaking to Sky Sports, wasn’t shy in revealing how often he’d watched it.
He said: “I’ve watched it every day since. In the first week I watched it 30 times every day on repeat. It would be half 10 at night and I’d be in bed with the lights off.
“I’d put it on one last time and get a bit of an elbow from the missus telling me to go to sleep! But I’ll probably never score a goal like that again.”
Ayling’s appreciation for his own screamer has been well received by Leeds fans, many of whom took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.

Love this, but absolutely got a screamer in him. It’s 2 this season so far. Would it be greedy to hope he gets a hat-trick of screamers.
