Many Derby County supporters have been reacting to the latest update that Florian Jozefzoon is unlikely to leave Pride Park before the end of the transfer window, with a buyer not likely to be found before Deadline Day, according to the Athletic reporter Ryan Conway.

Jozefzoon has found himself far down the pecking order at Pride Park over the last few months, with Phillip Cocu electing to select the likes of Jason Knight, Tom Lawrence, Martyn Waghorn and Duane Holmes ahead of the winger in the wide positions.

That has seen the winger, who has featured just ten times in the Championship so far this campaign, be limited to just a single appearance since mid-October, after the 28-year-old’s inconsistent displays during the first few months of the season.

QUIZ: Can you remember the score from Derby County’s first 12 games of this season?

The 28-year-old arrived at Derby in the summer of 2018 with burgeoning reputation following an impressive final season at Brentford, which saw him score seven goals and assist seven goals in the Championship for the London club.

However, he was unable to replicate that form in his first season at Derby last term, managing just two league goals in 28 appearances for Frank Lampard’s side, and often finding himself in and out of side due to his inconsistency.

Things have if anything got even worse for the winger this term, with Jozefzoon struggling to convince Cocu he has the ability to fit into his system – and that suggests a potential move away could have been an ideal option for both parties, but that now seems unlikely to happen during this window.

Some Derby fans have been suggesting that the Rams might as well give him another chance to impress if he is staying with the club, while others have been less enthusiastic about the update and have questioned why he has been unable to impress.

Here then, we take a look at what Derby supporters have been saying about the winger on social media…
