Derby County forward Simon Dawkins has been called up by Jamaica for the game against Serbia tonight.
The former Tottenham player, 26, can represent the Caribbean club from his grandparents. He has expressed his desire to play for Jamaica in recent times.
The 26 year old is currently settled for the first time in his career at Derby County after he was bought by current manager Steve McClaren after a successful loan spell for £500,000 from Premier League Tottenham. It is his second club he has played regular for, he played over fourty times for San Jose Earthquakes last season.
He has just come back from a heartbreaking loss in the Sky BET Championship Play-Off Final against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, he made a late substitute appearance.
Dawkins’ Jamaica take on Serbia in an international friendly at 9pm English time tonight in New Jersey.
