One of the standout fixtures from the Championship this weekend sees Brentford travel to Derby County in a game between two promotion contenders.

The East Midlands go into the game in 9th position, whilst the Bees are 3rd, yet just two points separate the pair, highlighting just how close the second-tier is.

Therefore, it should be a tight game and our graphic highlights demonstrates how these sides like to play attacking football on the front foot, which should hopefully lead to goals at Pride Park.

Both sides have averaged over 55% possession this season, with several technically gifted players sure to be on the pitch. And, whoever wins that battle in the middle of the park could have a big say in where the points end up.

As well as that, the dribbles, tackles and shots are all at a relatively similar level, again proving how these are two evenly matched sides.

Yet, the one advantage that the visitors will have over Frank Lampard's men is that they have an in-form striker who could make the difference.

Neal Maupay has been outstanding this season, scoring eight goals in six games - and he's also made three goals.

Those returns are surely unsustainable over the course of the season but he is in red-hot form right now and is one of the standout number nine's in the league.

Dean Smith's side have been resolute this season and harder to beat than over recent years, evident by just one defeat, and that could help them against a Rams side sure to press from the first whistle in front of their own fans.

As the game progresses, they will look to use the speed and skill of Ollie Watkins and Saïd Benrahma down the flanks to exploit any space.

However, Lampard has matchwinners of his own in the Derby side, with Mason Mount the one given license to get forward at every opportunity in the 4-3-3 formation, whilst Jack Marriott will be eager to make a mark.

Ultimately, it should be a high-quality affair in the East Midlands and even at this early stage a win for either side could send a big statement in the promotion race.
