Once again, Derby fans will feel extremely disappointed with how their season has gone and will hope that next season will take them to the Premier League.

After four seasons of pushing for a top flight spot, Derby have been defeated in a playoff final, a semi-final and have missed the top six twice, one of which saw them capitulate from 3rd place in a matter of months.

They should take hope from the fact that Gary Rowett is their new manager, however. The former Birmingham boss is one of the best at what he does in the Championship, and with his sensible spending and recruitment strategy, Derby could be a real force this year.

The Rams have deadwood aplenty and could do with a strong clear out this summer. I believe, however, they should be looking towards an extremely ambitious loan move for Jordon Ibe.

The winger signed for Bournemouth last summer with Liverpool inserting an agreed fee to buy him back at any point, should he progress further.

However, the feeling is that Ibe has regressed, only starting 13 games last season, scoring no goals and registering no assists - disappointing for the £15 million they paid for him.

The Cherries have a plethora of options out wide too - Max Gradel, Marc Pugh, Ryan Fraser, Junior Stanislas and Josh King all able to play on the flanks. This doesn't make Ibe in-expendable.

The 21-year-old's best form arguably came when he was last on loan at Derby in 2014, spending six months at the club and scoring five goals in that time.

He impressed then Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers so much that he earned a recall to the first team squad and featured prominently in the final six months of the year.

Though this would be an immensely ambitious move, it would be a popular one amongst Derby fans. Ibe and Bournemouth should agree to this move as a means of kickstarting his Cherries career and reigniting the dangerous, blistering winger we saw at Pride Park in 2014.

Derby fans... What do you make of this? Could you really get Ibe in on loan? Let us know in the comments below.
