Derby County take on Barnsley this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship and really need a win ahead of the international break.

The season so far for the Rams has not been a good one and it is evident that there is work to do for Phillip Cocu - if he is kept on, of course.

Indeed, that could be an early decision for the new Rams owner with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan heading to the East Midlands and Cocu will know that, so he'll be eager for three points against the Tykes.

One player that might not be involved this weekend, though, is Jordon Ibe with Ryan Conway confirming he is still recovering from illness and the player is not involved in the u23 side either to build match-fitness:

The Verdict

Ibe is a player that Rams fans will hope can get them up the league table - it's certainly needing someone to grab things by the horns at Pride Park at the moment.

He seems unlikely to be featuring this weekend by the sounds of this update from Conway, though, and we may have to wait until after the international break to see him playing again.

Indeed, by that time things could be very different at Derby.
