The transfer window is in full swing now for Derby County fans with Frank Lampard eyeing a major revamp of his side's attacking options.

According to a report by The Mirror, Derby want to sign both Martyn Waghorn and Jack Marriott this summer and they are willing to sell Matej Vydra, Cameron Jerome and David Nugent to fund these moves.

Ipswich Town star Waghorn is being strongly linked with a switch to Derby for £8m after he netted 16 goals and provided 11 assists for the Tractor Boys last term.

The 28-year-old wants to leave Ipswich and Paul Hurst has already moved to snap up Ellis Harrison from Bristol Rovers, while also targeting Barnsley's Tom Bradshaw, as replacements for Waghorn.

Marriott, of Peterborough United, is also a target for the Rams.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a sensational season with Posh, scoring 33 goals in total and attracting plenty of second tier admirers along the way.

In order to fund these moves, Derby are ready to move Vydra, Jerome and Nugent on.

Vydra is the player likely to command the highest transfer fee after the Czech Republic international netted 21 league goals to claim the golden boot.

He is a target for Leeds United this summer while Jerome and Nugent could also be sold.

The Verdict

I think that Vydra's exit is probably inevitable in the end as he wants to earn more money elsewhere and is likely to have Premier League admirers.

If Derby can get a decent transfer fee for him, as well as flogging one of Jerome and Nugent, and then bring in Waghorn and Marriott, that is superb business.

The Rams will be a real force to be reckoned with if they have those options in attack.
