Derby County midfielder Paul Coutts is struggling to get back to full fitness after another injury occurred which has seen him out for another two months.
The 26 year old, suffered a dislocated knee cap chipped a bone in his thigh against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in a Capital One Cup tie last October and hasn’t made a first-team appearance since.
The former Preston North-End midfielder picked up another injury in July after making a return to action in a pre-season game. The Rams Assistant head-coach Paul Simpson talking to the Derby Telegraph said “It is about three weeks since he had a scan but there is still no improvement with the injury.”
”We just have to be patient and keep working with him. He gets to a point where he is doing a decent amount of work and then has a little setback. Fingers crossed it will not be too long because he is another midfield player who could be valuable to us.”
Simpson could not put any date on when Coutts would be back to action.
