Derby County will be looking to maintain their promotion charge this weekend as they take on Norwich City in the Championship.

The Rams have been flying along recently in the second tier with them emerging as serious contenders for the second spot in the league behind Wolves.

They've got strong competition, though, from the likes of Cardiff City and Aston Villa and so they cannot afford to slip up against the Canaries.

The Yellows, meanwhile, will still feel they can get into the top six if they get on a good run and Gary Rowett has moved to issue a warning about how impressive the away side has been recently.

Indeed, in his press conference, he's been quoted as saying by the Rams' official Twitter account:

Certainly, Norwich have looked back on form in recent weeks with the likes of James Maddison continuing to lead the charge from his attacking midfield role.

The Canaries also have the likes of Nelson Oliveira knocking about and so Derby will need to be at their defensive best this weekend.

The Verdict

Rowett is right to highlight Norwich's attacking prowess.

However, Derby's defence has been brilliant in recent weeks and so you'd imagine they'll be confident of keeping them quiet.
